House Rules

The Sports House Rules were last updated on August 09, 2019.

General sports rules

  1. Sports Book House Rules
    1. All Sports Book House Rules apply to all wagering activity. By placing a wager, you acknowledge reading, understanding and accepting Elite Sportsbook’s Sports Book House Rules. All wagering rules and limits, including, but not limited to, the Sportsbook House Rules, are subject to change at any time in Elite Sportsbook’s sole discretion, subject to any required regulatory approvals. Elite Sportsbook’s final determination as to the interpretation and application of the Sports Book House Rules and the events, markets, odds, pricing, selections and payouts is binding on you.
    2. For betting purposes, the winner of an event or game will be determined on the date of the event’s conclusion and in the time zone in which the event is played according to house wagering rules. Elite Sportsbook does not recognize suspended games, (exception: see baseball rules) protests, scoring changes, and overturned decisions for wagering purposes.
    3. Elite Sportsbook imposes a delay on ALL in-play wagers prior to acceptance.
    4. Only eligible individuals 21 years of age or older, not excluded, and located in the state of Iowa may place a wager.
    5. Coaches, athletic trainers, officials, players, or other individuals who participate in an authorized sporting event that is the subject of sports wagering, or persons who are employed in a position with direct involvement with such aforementioned persons, are strictly PROHIBITED from sports wagering at elitesportsbook.com, or from sports wagering at Riverside Casino and Golf Resort, Rhythm City Casino Resort or Grand Falls Casino Resort.
    6. No wagers may be placed on any individual athlete participating in a single game or match of a collegiate sporting event in which a collegiate team from Iowa is a participant.
    7. No wagers may be placed on the performance of athletes in an individual international sporting event governed by the international Olympic committee in which any participant in the international sporting event is under eighteen (18) years of age.

  2. Wagers
    1. Elite Sportsbook may accept wagers on its posted terms, except as otherwise set by Elite Sportsbook.
    2. Elite Sportsbook reserves the right to refuse any wager.
    3. Elite Sportsbook reserves the right to determine minimum and maximum wager limits on all events, including, but not limited to, on a wager by wager or customer by customer basis.
    4. Elite Sportsbook may offer lower limits during overnight hours.
    5. Unless otherwise specified In-Play wagers are available on account only.
    6. Wagering options, other than In-Play wagers, are available up until the official start time, unless otherwise specified by Elite Sportsbook.
    7. A straight wager resulting in a push will be considered “no action” and the original wager will be refunded.
    8. Canceled events that have either not started or have not met the minimum length for an event to be official, will result in “no action” and refunded. Parlays and teasers that involve a canceled event will reduce to the next lowest number of selections. If a canceled event selection reduces a two-team teaser to one selection, the wager will be refunded. If a canceled event selection reduces a two-team parlay to one selection, the wager will pay on the remaining selection price as a straight wager.
    9. If prohibitions exist that restrict the acceptance of wagers on teams/participants from the State in which the wager is being placed, there may not be a field option and the customer will be required to select a specific team/participant. If one of the prohibited teams/participants wins the event then all the selections/wagers in the event pool will be losers.
    10. Wager amounts are limited to the amount of funds available in your account.

  3. Payouts
    1. Payouts on wagers may be limited or reduced according to the terms, conditions, rules, policies or other agreements of or with Elite Sportsbook, as approved by the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission (IRGC), which may include a reduced payout regardless of the payout amount reflected in your physical or electronic bet slip. All final decisions on payouts are made by Elite Sportsbook.
    2. The maximum net payout for a wager will be $550,000. The maximum payout on wagers may be revised or modified by Elite Sportsbook at any time.
    3. Payouts on all current price wagers are determined using standard money line calculations, unless otherwise specified.
    4. Final calculations are rounded to the nearest penny.

  4. Parlays
    1. Payouts on parlay wagers where only current price selections are involved will be calculated using standard money line calculations.
    2. Parlays in which selections are all point spreads with a fixed price (e.g., -110) will use a pay-chart to calculate payouts.
    3. Parlays in which any selection deviates from a fixed price (e.g., -110) will be calculated at current price using standard money line calculations.
    4. Pushes and refunds in a parlay causes the wager to reduce to the remaining valid selections and the payoff will reduce to the appropriate payout. If the parlay reduces to a single selection, the wager will pay on the remaining selection price as a straight wager.
    5. Maximum parlay payout is 11,000-to-1, with a maximum payout of $550,000. The maximum payout on parlays may be revised or modified by Elite Sportsbook at any time.
    6. Parlays on proposition wagers are not allowed unless otherwise specified.

  5. Teasers
    1. Pushes and refunds in a teaser causes the wager to reduce to the remaining valid selections and the payoff will reduce to the appropriate payout from the pay-chart associated with the wager. If the teaser reduces to a single selection, the wager will be refunded.
    2. Two-Team teasers will be a loser when one of the valid selections in the teaser fails to cover the teased point spread regardless of what the other selection outcome is.

  6. Cash Out Wagers
    1. The Cash Out option gives customers more control over their wagers, both pre-live and in-play, by offering the customer the option to settle their wager early based on its current value. In the case of parlay bets, any results of legs that have finished are taken into account into the current value of the wager.
    2. If the Cash Out is successful, a success message will be displayed and funds are added to your account balance immediately (Mobile Only)
    3. Cash Out is considered wagering activity and must be executed within the state of Iowa.
    4. Cash Out may not be available on all wagers.
    5. Cash Out option is not available on bets placed using free bets.
    6. We reserve the right to reverse any Cash Out payout in case of errors or potential errors, including incorrect calculations or pricing.

    2. Subject to the specific rules for resulting and settling events and markets, events and markets will be settled on the results provided by the applicable sports governing body, third party data providers, publicly available information and/or independent public sources at the time of the conclusion of the event or market.
    3. 3. Wagering system products and services, including user interfaces, display events, markets, odds, pricing, selections and payouts prior to and at the time when you place a wager and each may change at any time prior to and up to the time you attempt to place a wager.
